There's no single "perfect" stencil. Different images, styles, and techniques call for different approaches. Explore freely.

Explore the Modes

Tap the mode name at the top to cycle through four different processing styles. Each mode interprets your image differently:

Stencil — Precision edge detection for clean lines

Photocopy — Halftone dithering for tonal depth

Graphic — High-contrast B&W with bold shapes

Experimental — Classic edge detection with extras

Save Your Presets

When you find settings that work, save them as a preset. This is how you build your personal workflow.

Tap + Save to create a preset from your current settings. Presets are saved per mode, so you can have different collections for different styles.

Consider creating presets for:

• Portraits and faces

• Florals and organic shapes

• Lettering and script

• Bold flash designs

• Fine line work

Slider Tips

Move sliders slowly. Small changes often make the biggest difference. Give yourself a few minutes with each mode—you'll start to feel what each slider does.

Exporting & Printing

Your stencil is saved at the original image resolution. Higher resolution photos produce better prints. Use the print button to send directly to your thermal printer.

Saved stencils are automatically organized in a "Stencil" album in your Photos app.

Tattoo Stencil Lab ("we", "our", or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

Tattoo Stencil Lab is designed with your privacy in mind:

  • No Account Required: You do not need to create an account or provide any personal information to use the App.

  • No Image Uploads: All image processing happens entirely on your device. Your photos are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party servers.

  • No Analytics Tracking: We do not collect usage data, analytics, or tracking information.

  • No Personal Data: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other personal identifiers.

Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device only:

  • App Preferences: Your settings such as default mode preference (Stencil or Photocopy) and flip orientation preference.

  • Custom Presets: Any custom filter presets you create and save.

This data never leaves your device and is stored using your device's secure local storage.

Photo Library Access

The App requires access to your photo library to:

  1. Load images for stencil processing

  2. Save processed stencils to your Photos app

We only access photos you explicitly select. We do not scan, analyze, or access any other photos in your library.

Third-Party Services

Tattoo Stencil Lab does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services.

Data Security

Since all processing occurs locally on your device and we do not collect or transmit any data, your information remains secure on your device protected by your device's built-in security features.

Children's Privacy

Our App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect any personal information from any users, there is no risk of collecting children's data.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.

Your Rights

Since we do not collect any personal data, there is no personal data for us to provide, modify, or delete. All your data remains on your device under your control.

To delete locally stored preferences and presets, you can:

  • Uninstall and reinstall the App

  • Clear the App's data through your device settings

TERMS of SERVICE

Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Tattoo Stencil Lab ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

Tattoo Stencil Lab is a mobile application designed for tattoo artists to convert reference photos into stencil images suitable for transfer printing. The App provides image processing tools including adjustable filters, presets, and export functionality.

License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal or professional use as a tattoo artist.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You shall not:

  • Use the App to process images you do not have the right to use

  • Use the App to infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's code or systems

  • Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

Intellectual Property

Our Rights

The App, including its design, features, and code, is owned by Allen Tattoo and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App.

Your Content

You retain all rights to the images you process using the App. We do not claim any ownership over your photos or the stencils you create.

Image Processing

All image processing occurs locally on your device. You are solely responsible for:

  • Ensuring you have the right to use any images you process

  • The quality and suitability of stencils for tattooing purposes

  • Obtaining proper consent and rights for any reference images used

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose

  • That the App will meet your requirements

  • That the App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free

  • That the results obtained from using the App will be accurate or reliable

Professional Responsibility

Tattoo Stencil Lab is a tool to assist in creating stencil artwork. As a tattoo professional, you are responsible for:

  • Verifying the quality and accuracy of stencils before use

  • Ensuring stencils are appropriate for the intended tattoo application

  • Following proper health, safety, and hygiene practices

  • Complying with all applicable laws and regulations regarding tattooing

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL ALLEN TATTOO, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Loss of profits or revenue

  • Loss of data

  • Personal injury

  • Property damage

  • Any damages arising from your use of the App

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Allen Tattoo from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the App

  • Your violation of these Terms

  • Your violation of any rights of another party

Modifications to the App

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the App.

Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. By continuing to use the App after changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Allen Tattoo operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Allen Tattoo regarding the use of the App and supersede any prior agreements.
