SCHEDULING the TATTOO APPOINTMENT

As soon as the deposit is made, the best way to schedule an appointment is directly through me. You’ll have my email and we can pick the month and weekend of the appointment together. If it’s easier, I can also call you and we can look at our calendars together. (The system automatically sends you a link to schedule, that’s not for mastectomy tattoos, so please disregard that.) This take priority and I’d like to schedule the appointment with you directly.

SCHEDULING VIDEO CALL FOR CONSULTATION

This is where we meet and I hear about what you want! I usually like to connect on a Google Meets video call about one week or less before our appointment. I tattoo a lot of people, this is a way to keep your ideas and needs fresh. I take great notes and will you ask if I can record the call. This process is exciting and often there’s a wait of a few months, so I thank you for patience. I’m excited to be fully present for you and ready to create something that matches your specific needs.

On the video all we’ll go over a lot of info, here are some things you can start to think about:

What are you needs with this tattoo? I never assume, some people cover scarring, other people show it off. You’ll communicate with me what you need out of this process.
Flowers - do you connect to any flowers? Do you like leaves? Stems? One flower, two flowers? We’ll go over all things related :)
Placement - are you open to me experimenting with placement? Or do you have a specific visions in mind. I come to the table ready to hear what you think.

It’s perfectly fine if you don’t have many ideas. I’ll help! It’s also perfectly fine if you have many ideas. Or specific ideas. Or constraints. I’m open and excited to hear what you’re thinking.

THE DESIGN

I create 3-5 completely different designs for you to choose from. I do this a day or two before your appointment. I’ll send you a private link to view the designs a day before your appointment. If you can send back edits, thoughts, ideas that day… I’ll make the edits the night before. The day of the appointment we’ll finalize any changes and see how it fits on your body!

PHOTO FOR DESIGNING TATTOO

Last, I always request a photo. I use this photo to design flowers onto your actual body. Nobody else will see this, it’s just for us to work on. I realize this can be difficult for many people, so I feel it’s so very important to honor that. I can discuss it more over the video call, but I just wanted to prepare you. Usually a photo from the neck to the waist - shot straight on - arm down by your side. Here’s a page with some behind the scenes of how I use the photo and create onto it!
