This design was created from an old, vintage shirt. She loved the distressed pattern of it, so I scanned it into the computer. After increasing the contrast (so I could actually see the shapes), I printed it out and recreated a different version of it on paper... one that fit the location on her body. Once I put the stencil on her skin, I realized some of it needed to be pure black like the shirt, but the majority of it needed nothing but a magnum.

Going without the trusty outline is different and with a piece like this, a challenge. But it certainly leaves the final product with a nice style.

In my head, I always see variations of positive and negative space, so this was fun to just go at it and trust that it could be done without any screw ups. Ha.
