In Vestri Veneratio

My version of an old Jesus painting by Fern Beckham.
Cam De Leon Tool Fetus

This was Jake's first tattoo and he sat like a champ. He loved this piece from Cam De Leon's portfolio and wanted it on him. He asked for the rectangle shape like the original. So I was a little worried because square shapes get distorted by the dimension of the body... but the end result came out fine. In fact, the piece would have looked weird with some of the curves I was throwing at on paper anyway.
It took a bit longer, but I went with an 11 mag (00 bugpins) for the shading. I wanted the blends to be smoother, so the tinier bugpins helped.
Snare behind pre-existing sticks

Having a set of crossing drumsticks already, this client came in with a specific snare drum he wanted placed behind them.
This is (obviously) all grey wash completed with a 5 round and a 9 mag.
Heart Tribal with Chains

This was piece was created piecemeal. The guy came and pulled the tribal from Cherry Creek, the heart from elsewhere with shading from another flash heart. The he chose the text over the top and bottom then finished it off with some chains.
My job was to make his creation look clean. I swear this guy was counting his breathing then put himself into a trance. Ten minutes in and you would have thought he was sleeping peacefully.
Little Green Guy
This lady came in with her own version of a line drawing taken from some cartoon. We went with a green body and she chose light magenta and yellow for extra goodness. She wanted it cute, and I was happy with the result. He's tiny at 1½" square, so working for dimension in the toes was fun.
I used a tight 5 round for the outlines and final white touches. And an 11 mag (00 bugpin) for the coloring. For color blending I made a point to turn down the voltage a bit so I fade and layer the colors into each other. And last, the drop shadow is a mix of grey wash, brown and skin tone.
Four Leaf Clover

A lower back Cherry Creek clover.
Cross with Wings

This is the first internet flash piece I've done. She actually bought the outline from a website and brought it in for me to use. There was no coloring to go off of, so she told me the colors for the wings, and I went with browns on the cool banner.
The design is odd. An organic banner, wings and an almost graphic cross. But I was happy with how it turned out.
Pink Heel Skull

She brought in some charms. One was a curved star and the other was a skull. She asked for the star to be light blue and the skull to be pink. I tried to darken the pink to a pinkish dark red in some spots for contrast, but I'm pretty sure we'll still need to touch this up... especially being on the foot.
Shaded Tribal

Purple Tough Guy

Hey, I'm purple and coming from the mist. This was a walk-in with a slight time constraint (another appointment was already set after him). He sat great and having a clock to mentally punch really sped things up.
And its a flash piece by Adam Puckett.
