Marathon
I've been doing some running tattoos lately. I'm in the middle of an anatomical man running in the dunes, and I just finished this winged shoe. The client decided on having his shoe placed between his shoulders. It's one of the shoes he ran his first marathon in with some Latin and wings.
This is his first tattoo and he sat incredible for such a good sized piece.
Also, I'm starting to figure out bugpins a bit more. I was running them too hard before and, even though it kind of felt like an airbrush, I was getting a ton of pepper spots. I've been turning it down based on the vibration in the skin. Almost to the point where it feel it give (not bog). It lets me slow the pace of my hand movements and the greys seem to discharge much smoother.
Following my own tangent... tattooing has me sitting a lot. For health reasons, I've been a vegetarian for years and years. So I haven't enjoyed myself putting on weight over the past two years. It became uncomfortable and I started running again. By being consistent with it (which is really difficult) and easing into distance, I lost 25 pounds in a month and a half. Now the challenge is keeping up with it!
